It should take you several minutes to complete
the Lotus Energy Form. As you begin learning the
Lotus Form, concentrate on the movements - do not
worry too much about when to breath during the form,
just remember to breath. As you grow more comfortable
and confident with the form you will inhale at 1,
then exhale and inhale again at stages 2, 3, 5,
6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18.
The Lotus Form begins, as all of my energy forms
do, as you stand straight and tall with your feet
together, your palms together at your heart, and
your elbows bent. Your right hand symbolizes your
body, your left, your mind. When they are pressed
together, palm to palm, you have put your body,
mind, and spirit as one. This position may remind
you of "praying". Oriental cultures would say praying
reminded them of respect and 'body and mind as one'.
This symbolism of respect towards others and your
own purpose and goals has been present in oriental
cultures for centuries.
Bow from your waist to the universe, recognizing
your commitment and your purpose. Acknowledge where
you are and what you wish to accomplish or visualize.
